A game token?
Lot 397
KINGS OF COMMAGENE. Antiochos I Theos, circa 69-34 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.71 g, 12 h), Samosata. Draped bust of Antiochos I to right, wearing tiara of Tigranes II of Armenia. Rev. ΒΑΣ[ΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ] Lion walking right. Kovacs 227. RPC I 3845. Drilling hole on the obverse and numerous 'test cuts' on the reverse, otherwise, fine.

From an important collection of Armenian coins.

This is a curious coin: its flan has been cut down to a smaller diameter in antiquity and both the obverse and reverse have intentionally been damaged. Did somebody not like the King, or was the coin simply used as a game token?
